London Underground
Some early shots, including Jubilee 1972 stock, Cravens 1960 stock, the 1923 'Standard' stock on the IOW and a few A60 stock trains on the Met lines. Up to date with Train Control System testing at Highgate in 2006 and a few later shots at Acton Town. Some shots of the new VLU stock on test in Derby and District Line stock in service at Wimbledon. Lately a battery loco on test in Derbyshire and finally the current A60, A62, C69 and C77 Sub-Surface Line stock pictured at Baker Street and Paddington. Finally a glimpse of the new SSL stock on test at Old Dalby in June 2009
Class 92

Class 156
The Metro-Cammell-built class 156 Super Sprinters have been amongst the most successful 2nd generation DMU's and are currently operated by several train operating companies in all their hideous liveries. Here is a selection of pictures of these fine units including unit 156502, which in 1989 went all the way to Holland and back under its own power.

Derby station area
Some views of the original Derby station buildings before the re-building plus a few views of trains.
Later views of the station in December 2007 prior to its long overdue roof replacement. Pity they couldn't afford to do it when they replaced the station frontage.
Wirksworth Line
The Wirksworth line in 1985 and after its renaissance in 2004. Later pictures in 2007 include London Underground's battery loco whilst testing the train borne train control system (TBTC)

Class 222
222008 the first Meridian released pictured at Bombardier's Crofton depot in January 2004. Later shots of four and nine car sets in service, the Hull Trains class 222/1's and right up to date with the 5 and 8 car Meridian formations
Class 221
Virgin Train's Super Voyagers on test and in traffic but I don't know what's super about them. They are not dissimilar to the Mk4 coaches, a cross between a plane and a train and combining the worst features of both.
Class 220
A few pictures of the early test and commissioning running days of the Bombardier-built Virgin Voyagers with more recent pictures in service. Why are they built to a tilting profile but don't tilt? All the drawbacks of tilt with none of the benefits!
Class 151 prototypes
The prototype Metro Cammell-built class 151's on test and in service. Shame they met a sticky end
